The restaurant was a familiar one. I hadn't been here in years, but things haven't changed much.
One of the waitresses recognizes me.
"He's in the back" she says, pointing to a table in the corner. There sat my father.
The years between us hadn't changed much. I think we even ordered the same meals we used to. Our conversation sounded the same too. We joked about the all same things. And we managed to avoid asking the same question we had been ignoring for years.
Now is not the time for awkward questions. After all, this is just lunch
